Probationary Officer in SBI - Salary
Starting basic pay is Rs 16,900/- (with 4 increments) in the scale of Rs 14500-600/7-18700-700/ 2-20100-800/7-25700 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I.
POs are also given several perks and benefits like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance & City Compensation Allowance etc. as per rules from time to time.
SBI PO SALARY Cash in Hand = Rs. 36320/-
Other benefits:
Bank's contribution to PF = Rs. 1690/-
Housing (Lease Rental) ranges from 8000-29500. ( depends on class of city you are posted )
Newspapers, Entertainment allowance, Conveyance etc.) = Rs. 4130/-
The main difference in salary of SBI Probationary Officer and other Public sector bank PO is that SBI gives more basic pay than them. SBI gives Rs. 2400 more in basic pay. As other banks give Rs. 14500 as basic pay, SBI PO gets Rs. 16900 as basic pay. So it means SBI PO gets more Dearness Allowance and other allowance which are based on Basic pay. So it means, the starting SBI PO Salary is about Rs 4400/- more than other Public Sector Banks.
Plus there are many other perks such as Petrol Quota , Furniture and Appliance Allowance Limit, Mobile Phones, Sim cards etc. which are available at a much better scale to SBI PO than PO of other banks.
At present monthly emolument at Mumbai will be approximately Rs 70,000/- that is Rs. 8,40,000/- per year. ( including 29,500 lease rent amount)

At 100% DA for new recruits= Rs. 32000 - 35000
Office Scale 1 Pay Scale: 14500-600/7-18700-700/2-20100-800/7-25700.
Includes HRA , TA and other permissible allowances.
Salary for Office Assistants
For Office Assistant at 100% DA for new recruits = Rs. 14000-17000 (Cash in Hand).

SBI Clerk/Assistant - Salary
Clerk Salary in SBI at 100% DA = Rs. 17000 (Approximate Gross Income)
SBI Clerk Cash in hand Salary = Rs. 16000.
Salary Structure:
Basic Salary in 7200 basic pay.
House Rent Allowance: 7-10%= 504 to 800
Transport Allowance: 225
Pay Scale of SBI Clerk: 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/1-19300 (under review)

Public Sector General Insurance Companies - Administrative Officer Salary
Basic pay of Rs.17,240/-in the scale of Rs.17,240-840(14)-29,000-910(4)- 32640 and other admissible allowance as applicable.
Total emoluments will be above Rs.34,000/-plus in Metropolitan Centers.
Other benefits are Pension under New Pension Scheme governed by PFRDA. Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident and Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme (GSLI) etc as shall be as per rules. The Officers are also entitled for Company's/leased accommodations per norms.
With Major Benefits beside the total emoluments , cost to company = Rs.5.10 lakhs/year at Metro centers.
